"Portland-based artist Damien Gilley makes site-specific installations to create a new, multi-dimensional space of imaginary landscapes through line graphics and optical illusions. Using simple materials such as vinyl tape, wood, aluminum, latex and auto paint, he actualizes his drawings as perspectival installations that break down paradigms of flatness."

Nic Hess, Artist
Swiss-born artist Nic Hess creates what he often refers to as drawing installations or tape drawings, which actively manipulate traditional art practices such as drawing, painting, sculpting, collage, and installation art.1 Hess collects images from fine art sources and commercial and popular culture, and he draws them in a way that removes the traditional hierarchy among the images, in a sense leveling art and commerce to an even playing field. -an excerpt from an essay by Robert Summers.

Kinesio Tape
"Kinesio tape, developed by a Japanese doctor over 30 years ago, is much more than just a fashion statement -- though athletes like German beach volleyball player Katrin Holtwick use it for both. It takes a special certification just to be licensed to apply it and once on, it separates the upper layer of the skin from muscle tissue. This extra space allows for muscles to fire and recover more quickly." - source link here.
